The passageways between Plant Buildings No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 are relatively wide. During unfavorable weather conditions, especially on rainy days, employees need to move frequently between buildings, which causes inconvenience and safety concerns. To address this issue, a steel structure canopy was installed to connect the buildings, providing shelter from rain and sun while also offering protection against potential falling objects from above.
Compared with traditional canopy systems, steel structure canopies provide higher safety and reliability. With steel as the main structural material, they offer improved seismic performance and overall structural stability. Choosing a steel structure canopy enhances protection for both personnel and property during daily operations.
Steel structure canopies typically use roofing materials such as color-coated steel sheets, aluminum panels, or polycarbonate (PC) panels. These materials are resistant to corrosion, less prone to deformation, and offer good cost efficiency with a long service life. After comprehensive evaluation, this project adopted a combined solution of color-coated steel sheets and translucent panels. This approach ensured sufficient natural daylight while effectively controlling the overall project budget.
